The shortest month of 2023 has just ended and it brought a handful of launches from the EV segment and the ICE ones too. In this story, we’ve listed all the models that entered the Indian two-wheeler market in February.
Ola S1 Air
After its announcement back in August 2022, the Ola S1 Air has now been re-launched but in three different variants. The Ola e-scooter is now available with 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh battery pack options. And the asking price for these is set to Rs 84,999, Rs 99,999, and Rs 1,09,999 (all ex-showroom Bengaluru inclusive FAME II) respectively. Apart from the battery pack options, the scooter remains largely unchanged in terms of features, mechanical, and design.
Along with the S1 Air, Ola now also offers the S1 in two variants – 2kWh and 3kWh battery options. And similar to the Air, the S1 too has been unchanged mechanically, feature-wise and on the design front. It now costs Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,09,999 (both ex-showroom Delhi, inclusive of FAME II).
Suzuki Gixxer Range
Suzuki too updated its Gixxer line for 2023 as the 150 and 250 received new paint schemes. So, the Gixxer and Gixxer SF are available in Metallic Sonic Silver with Pearl Blaze Orange, Metallic Triton Blue, and Glass Sparkle Black.
On the other hand, the Gixxer 250 can be bought in Metallic Matte Stellar Blue and Metallic Matte Black No.2 paint themes. And the 250 SF is available in Metallic Matte Stellar Blue, Metallic Matte Black No.2, and Metallic Sonic Silver with Metallic Triton Blue paint. Yamaha Motorcycles and Scooters
Yamaha updated its entire lineup of motorcycles with the OBD 2 norms and also added a couple of new features. The FZ-X now gets a new paint scheme and LED turn indicators along with traction control for added safety. Meanwhile, the Yamaha R15 V4 finally gets a TFT screen along with LED turn indicators. Even the FZ S Fi V4 made its debut in India. It retains all the bits from the standard model but benefits from the OBD 2 compliance and gets traction control just like the remaining model. Not to mention, the MT-15 also gets the same treatment.
Apart from the motorcycles, the Yamaha Ray ZR and Fascino Hybrid too received the OBD 2 updates.
Ampere Prime
Greaves Electric mobility launched its latest high-speed electric scooter, the Ampere Primus. It’s priced at 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru). The new e-scooter is loaded with features like ride modes, smartphone connectivity, and more. It’s available in four colours – Himalayan White, Royal Orange, Havelock Blue, and Buck Black.
BMW 100 Years Special Edition
BMW debuted the 100-Year Special Edition models last month. The R nineT and the R18 come with a new paint scheme, chrome bits on the fuel tank, mirrors, adjustable levers, Akrapovic exhaust, expansion tank covers, and more. River Indie
Last but not least, the River Indie e-scooter has also entered the Indian two-wheeler market. It’s priced at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru) and gets a 4kWh battery pack that powers a 6.7kW motor. River claims that the Indie’s maximum true range is 120km and it gets a top speed of 90kmph. Read the River Indie launch story for all the details
