-Updated or new variant of the F77
-Launch on 24 April
-Likely to get more features and performance
Ultraviolette is gearing up for the launch of the F77 Mach 2 electric motorcycle on 24 April. A teaser announcing the same has been released on social media platforms. While Ultraviolette has been pretty tight lipped about what the F77 Mach 2 is all about, a few hints suggest it could get more tech and more performance.
The Ultraviolette F77 was launched in November 2022 and the ‘Mach 2’ is likely an update to the original or it could also be a new variant of the F77 that joins the current EV. Nevertheless, the teasers promise that it’ll be exciting.
To shed more perspective on the F77, the current bike is the quickest, made-in-India, electric motorcycle. It is powered by a 27kW motor that develops 85Nm. This enables the bike to reach a claimed top speed of 140kmph.
We could expect Ultraviolette to squeeze some more performance from the motor, considering one of the teasers suggests that the F77 is the “next chapter of performance.” The company is also likely to introduce new features, new graphics and UI for the TFT display. The teaser also hints towards the likelihood of a new mode that will be quicker than the ‘Ballistic’ mode in the current F77. Besides these changes, also expect the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 to feature new colours.
The rest of the motorcycle, whether it is the chassis, suspension or wheels could be the same. We wait to see if UV has reworked the regen on the bike and upgraded the brakes, considering the possibly improved performance.
Lastly, the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 is expected to cost more than the current F77 whose price begins at Rs 3.80 lakh, ex-showroom.
