Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the latest scooter offering and it is called the Xoom 160. This is an adventure scooter and the first one from the Jaipur-based brand.
On the design front, the Xoom 160 looks big, and tall and sports proper off-road-ready maxi scooter design. It gets a split LED headlight placed between a transparent visor and a secondary beak. There is a single-piece seat and a top box mount as well. The latter is likely to be offered as an accessory.
Powering the new Hero Xoom 160 is a 156cc single-cylinder motor with Hero’s i3s technology. However, the power figures haven’t been revealed as of now. Its hardware includes regular telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. And the brakes include a front and rear disc brake mounted on 14-inch wheels shoed to block-pattern tyres. Its features list comprises LED illumination, a smart key, ignition dial, a remote key ignition, and smart find.
The Xoom 160 is an off-road scooter and is not a direct rival to the Aerox 155. However, both scooters have similar engine capacities. Hero MotoCorp has only unveiled the near-production model at the EICMA 2023. So, the final model could take a while before an official debut. It could be priced between Rs. 1.20 to 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
