- Spotted in orange paint theme
- Likely to get a higher-displacement engine
- India launch likely in early 2024
The upcoming 2024 KTM 390 Duke was recently spotted in a new paint theme ahead of its global debut. The latest spy pictures reveal the orange paint theme on the upcoming roadster-segment motorcycle. This new paint theme will be sold alongside the blue colour that was spotted previously. The newly photographed paint option features an orange finish to the fuel tank, alloy wheels, and rider seat.
Meanwhile, the graphics are identical to the ones seen on the blue paint theme. The upcoming model will pack a major styling and hardware upgrade as well. The styling cues, for example, will include the new design for the fuel tank, split-style seats, split-style pillion grab-rail, redesigned rear-view mirrors, and five-spoke wheels. The hardware upgrades will include a new chassis, a revised sub-frame, an updated instrument cluster, and an asymmetrically-mounted rear mono-shock. Additionally, the Indian market is expected to receive adjustable front forks. Notably, this feature is already available on the international-spec KTM RC390.
KTM is also likely to revise the mechanical specifications, and the 2024 model is expected to use a 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as against the 373cc unit on the current version. With the higher displacement, we can expect a bump in power and torque figures as well, and the numbers could be marginally higher than the current version’s 43bhp and 37Nm figures.
While the Indian launch details of the 2024 KTM 390 Duke are not available, sources indicate that the updated model could arrive early next year.
