Here’s a picture of what could be the upcoming 250cc adventure bikes from Suzuki and Kawasaki. The Kawasaki Versys 250 and the Suzuki V-Strom 250 are names we have been hearing from a few months now and here is what looks to be a rendering of the same.
The image suggests that the Kawasaki will have mini-Versys styling, so much so that it looks like a scaled down version of the Versys 650. The motorcycle could feature a twin-cylinder engine or even the single cylinder from the Z250 SL with a different state of tune.
With the image showing a snub-nose, the magazine has also blown away previous rumours of the V-Strom 250 to have a beaky nose. The quarter-litre Suzuki which will likely make its debut in 2017 is being called the GSR250XT by the magazine. The mini-adventure bike from Suzuki will likely get a twin-cylinder engine similar to the one seen on the Inazuma however, with a different state of tune.
Big manufacturers like Suzuki and Kawasaki working on these motorcycles only go to show that the Royal Enfield Himalayan seems to have opened up a new space of mini-adventure motorcycles.
