- To get a larger battery and more range
- Dimensions too have been tweaked
- Could be available in two new variants
Back in April, we got to know that Ather will be working on two new variants of the 450X. And now, the brand has already registered for the variants whose details have been leaked. The upcoming variants will see some notable updates in order to make the scooter even more practical.
First off, the upcoming 450X variants could have a larger battery compared to the current model. Going by the leaked documents, the current 2.6kW capacity has been bumped to 3.6kW. Similar to the current format, the upcoming variants too will be offered with different power modes and range on offer.
The leaked documents refer to it as setting 1 and setting 2. In setting 1, the e-scooter gets five riding modes (warp, sport, ride, eco, and smart eco) whereas setting 2 gives it the same modes sans warp. The peak power too has been bumped from 6kw and 5.4kw to 6.4kW and 5.8kW respectively.
That said, Ather could also introduce new paint schemes with the upcoming variants. We expect Ather to make an official announcement by mid-2023. Not to mention, the new variants could also carry a small premium over the current ones.
