-Images partially reveal LED headlight and instrument panel
-New electric scooter designed for the family
-Launch around June 2024
Ather Energy is readying a new, family-oriented electric scooter called Rizta and the latest in the drip feed of teaser images reveals a few more details of the EV.
To begin with, the Rizta will likely have an LED headlight and it sits flush with the apron at the lower end. The image also reveals the instrument panel which appears to be a large display and it may be a touchscreen unit.
On the other hand, if Ather is looking to keep a check on costs, the instrument panel could possibly be a simpler LCD unit, on the lines of the instrument cluster that you see in the Ather 450S electric scooter. Ather might offer Bluetooth connectivity and navigation features, in keeping with the trends in the electric scooter space.
Besides these details we can see the large proportions of the Rizta, a fact that Ather has been continuously highlighting in its teasers. There seems to be ample room for two adults, with a long and wide seat, the floorboard area looks generous and we expect to see a roomy underseat storage area as well.
The new Rizta is expected to draw in a fresh set of buyers to Ather. Ones that desire a family-oriented EV for use as a daily runabout. With that in mind, expect to see a new motor and a larger battery pack than what you see in the Ather 450X.
Ather Energy is expected to launch the Rizta in June 2024, most likely during its’ Ather Community Day 2024’ event. The price should hover around the Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.35 lakh mark. Once launched, it will go up against the TVS iQube and the Ola S1 Air.
