The festive season is just around the corner and Bajaj always likes to launch new products during this time and for 2021 season, Bajaj will introduce their brand new 250cc platform. This platform as some of us know will be used to make Bajaj's next generation flagship Pulsar.
We were the first ones to bring you the test mule pictures of the new Pulsar 250 a few weeks ago. And the pictures clearly showed that bike new Pulsar will look bigger than the current model, and the most important change will be the engine. It will be brand new. Likely to displace 250cc but it is now air-cooled with an oil-cooler. That’s right. The new Pulsar won't be liquid-cooled as this new generation wont be doing any kind of platform sharing with the KTMs.Now there have been rumours about the new Pulsar getting the famous VVA tech and honestly, we dont think that will happen. Because lets face the fact, VVA tech are usually seen on motorcycles that has to do something with good top-end performance, but the Pulsars, well, they are all about low and mid-range power and torque delivery. So in short, the VVA wont be happening on the Pulsars, but we might have a fair idea on which bike it will come on. For that video, you will have to wait for a few weeks, because in this video we are just talking about Bajaj.
Now coming back to the new Pulsar, interestingly, there will be another 250cc model. This bike was clicked a few weeks ago and it looked like an elder sibling of the Pulsar 220F. The camouflaged headlamp assembly of the test mule sported an LED projector flanked by boomerang-shaped LED DRLs on both sides. It also gets a fairly tall windscreen and pretty wide fairing-mounted rear view mirrors. Another interesting bit is the LED turn indicators that look the same as those on KTM models. The new spy images also uncover its tail-lamp design more clearly than before. It features Pulsar’s traditional twin strip LED tail lamp but with a curvier design.
So it is kind of clear that Bajaj will launch two bikes - a streetfighter and a semi-faired version. These bikes will make their debut in October and the bookings are likely to begin post launch.
Now coming to the third Bajaj bike, well this one we didn't see coming. But after we spoke with a few dealers and also some of our sources, we got to know about a new Dominar 400. That’s right. Bajaj will bring in a 2021 model of the Dominar 400 and it will come with some styling changes and likely to have some mechanical and feature upgrades. Unfortunately, we dont have more information on this model, but we will definitely share this information here very soon.
