- Will produce slightly more power
- Will come with electronic fuel-injection
- Overall dimensions will be slightly larger
Following the launch of the BS-VI compliant Activa 125, Honda 2Wheelers India seems to be readying the CB Shine SP next for the mandatory update. A leaked document confirms the same providing few other details of the soon-to-be-launched premium commuter offering.
The BS-VI CB Shine SP will continue to be powered by the same 124.73cc single-cylinder unit which will come equipped with electronic fuel injection. The peak power output which currently stands at 10.57bhp will witness a marginal increase taking it to 10.6bhp. Expect a similar difference in torque figures too. Besides that, the motor will continue to come mated to the slick five-speed gearbox.
Furthermore, the document also provides information on the overall dimensions of the motorcycle being slightly larger than the current out-going model. The current wheelbase which stands at 1,266mm has been increased by 19mm taking it to 1,285mm. Meanwhile, the overall length of the motorcycle has been increased by 13mm which currently stands at 2,007mm and width by 23mm compared to the existing 762mm. Lastly, the overall height has also been increased to 1,103mm from 1,085mm, suggesting a possibility of a corresponding increase in saddle height.
Expect Honda to bring in the BS-VI compliant CB Shine SP in the coming weeks with other models in the pipeline.
