- To be sold in two variants
- One variant will be based on Hness CB350
- The other variant will be derived from CB350RS
The images of the upcoming Honda CB350 series-based café-racers have been leaked from a dealer conference in India, thus hinting at their imminent launch. The leaked pictures give a detailed look at two different motorcycles – one based on the Hness CB350 and the other on CB350RS.
Honda CB350 café-racer: Styling
As mentioned above, these café-racers will be based on the Honda Hness CB350 and the CB350RS and thus, they feature similar styling as their respective roadster variants. These café-racer style motorcycles will come with a bikini fairing and a rear cowl. Surprisingly, unlike conventional café-racers, these motorcycles were seen with a tall-set handlebar instead of clip-on units. Do note that while the Hness CB350-based café-racer uses several chrome elements, the CB350RS-derived model is equipped with blacked-out parts. Further, the Hness CB350-based model is seen with round turn indicators while the CB350 RS-derived version uses flatter units.
Honda CB350 café-racer: Engine Specifications
The mechanical specifications will remain similar to the existing motorcycles. Thus, these café-racers will use the same 348cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, this motor is tuned to deliver 20.8bhp at 5,500rpm and 30Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm. We expect to see similar numbers on the café-racer motorcycles as well. Do note that these motorcycles will come with an OBD-2 sensor to comply with the newest norms.
Honda CB350 café-racer: Features and Hardware
The feature list, similar to the standard motorcycles, will comprise full-LED lighting and a semi-digital instrument cluster. We also expect to see Bluetooth connectivity on both vehicles. Meanwhile, the safety net should comprise dual-channel ABS. The hardware will include telescopic front forks, twin rear springs and disc brakes on both wheels.
Honda CB350 café-racer: India launch and Price
While the official details about the India launch are not available yet, we expect these new motorcycles to reach the dealerships in the coming months. We could hear an official announcement before mid-2023. Once launched, these motorcycles will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Jawa 42 in the Indian market. We expect the prices to be marginally higher than the respective standard versions of the motorcycles. For reference, the Hness CB350 and CB350RS are currently available from Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.05 lakh onwards, respectively.
Prices are ex-showroom, Delhi
