- Bookings for models mentioned in the list open
- Triumph Street Triple launch postponed since March 2023
- KTM 390 Adventure Rally expected to arrive this month
The Indian two-wheeler market is expecting to witness the arrival of several premium motorcycles, and we have compiled a list of products that are expected to arrive here in May 2023. Notably, the official launch dates for these products are not available yet, but the bookings for these motorcycles have already opened in India.
2023 Triumph Street Triple
The 2023 Triumph Street Triple range was scheduled to arrive in India in March 2023. However, Triumph Motorcycles India cancelled the launch just a day before the scheduled price announcement. Notably, the British marquee had commenced the bookings for this middleweight motorcycle range in December 2022, and its deliveries were scheduled to start in April 2023. Unlike the international markets, India will get two variants of the 2023 Street Triple 765 range – RS and R. Meanwhile, the limited-edition Moto2 variant will not be sold in our market.
Yamaha YZF-R3
The 2023 Yamaha YZF-R3 is set to make a comeback to the Indian market, and the latest iteration of this motorcycle was recently displayed to dealers in the country. Following the showcase, several dealers have commenced unofficial bookings for this Kawasaki Ninja 300 rival in India, and the official launch is likely to happen very soon. This sub-500cc motorcycle is already available in several international markets, and a similar configuration is expected to arrive in India as well.
Yamaha MT-03
The YZF-R3 will be accompanied by the Yamaha MT-03 naked roadster. The MT-03 shares its underpinnings with the former. However, the naked roadster packs more upright ergonomics than its fully-faired sibling. Both models use the same 321cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 40.4bhp and 29.4Nm.
KTM 390 Adventure Rally/R
After the introduction of the more affordable X version and the low-seat V option, KTM India is reportedly planning to introduce the Rally variant of its 390 Adventure range. This new variant will get spoked wheels and adjustable suspension – features that are available in the international markets. Meanwhile, the rest of the feature list will be similar to that of the standard model. The Rally variant will sit on the top of the range and will be available at a premium price tag over the existing models. Thus, we expect the new KTM 390 Adventure Rally to arrive in the Rs. 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
