Royal Enfield is preparing to introduce multiple products in the 650cc segment, and among the list is the upcoming Bullet 650. This new model was spotted in India on several occasions, and here we explain everything about this upcoming motorcycle.
What styling cues will the upcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 650 get?
The styling cues will be similar to the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, and the 650cc model will pack a round headlight, a teardrop-shaped design for the fuel tank, curvy fenders on both ends, and a single-piece seat. However, the higher displacement, similar to the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, gets twin-sided exhaust. This version, similar to the Bullet 350, will use a peashooter exhaust design. At the back, the Bullet 650 will feature a fender-mounted taillight. The details about the colours are not available yet.
What mechanical specifications will the upcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 650 use?
The mechanical specifications on the upcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 650 will include a 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled motor that currently powers the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and the Super Meteor 650. The same engine will also power the Classic 650 in the future. The details about the output numbers are not available yet. However, we expect the power and torque figures to be similar to the existing Royal Enfield 650cc motorcycles. Thus, we may see 47bhp and 52Nm on the Bullet 650 as well.
What hardware will the upcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 650 use?
The hardware will include telescopic front forks and twin-side rear springs to handle the shock absorption tasks. Then, the braking setup will comprise single disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net will include a dual-channel ABS. This motorcycle, similar to the 350cc model, will ride on wire-spoke wheels that would be shod in tube-type tyres. We expect it to carry a substantial kerb weight.
What is the expected unveiling and launch timeline of the upcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 650?
We expect this new motorcycle to debut in late 2023, while the India launch may happen in 2024. This motorcycle will most likely be placed under the existing 650cc Royal Enfield products, and we expect to see a Rs. 2.50 lakh starting price tag.
