- Likely to arrive in 2023
- Spy images reveal styling cues and hardware on the motorcycle
- To be powered by a liquid-cooled engine
The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has made its first appearance. A test mule of this upcoming motorcycle was spotted during its pre-production test runs. Bikewale were the first to bring you exclusive details about this upcoming motorcycle along with its render.
As reported earlier, the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will use a liquid-cooled engine instead of an oil-cooled motor on the existing model (411). The updated setup will help the adventure tourer deliver higher power output than the existing Himalayan. Our sources tell us that the single-cylinder engine is capable of delivering 45bhp. However, Royal Enfield has tuned the motor to deliver 40bhp of power as the company is focusing more on getting strong low and mid-range.
The styling cues, as seen in the new spy image, include a tall-set front fender, a round headlight, short windscreen, split-style seats, a side-slung exhaust, and wire-spoke wheels. Similar to the existing Himalayan, this upcoming adventure tourer will ride on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The hardware on the motorcycle comprises upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, and disc brakes on both wheels.
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to debut next year. We may see it at the 2023 Auto Expo in Delhi that is scheduled for January next year. The Himalayan 450 will most likely carry a price premium over the existing Himalayan. We expect this new adventure tourer from Royal Enfield around the Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag.
