The upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 411 has been making appearances through spy photographs and videos. The latest images caught this upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycle during its commercial shoot, thus hinting at its imminent launch. While we await an official announcement, here we tell you everything that we know about the new Royal Enfield Scram 411 so far.
Design
In terms of design, the new Royal Enfield Scram 411 will draw styling cues from the Himalayan. Thus, the motorcycle will feature a round headlight at the front, split-style seats, side-slung exhaust, and wire-spoke wheels. However, unlike the Himalayan, the new Royal Enfield Scram 411 will use a 19-inch front wheel instead of 21-inch unit on the former. The Scram 411 will also miss touring-focused hardware such as the windscreen, jerry-can holder, and luggage rack. Styling elements unique to the Scram 411 include a headlight cowl and fuel tank shrouds.
Features
The feature list will be similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan, and the new Scram 411 will feature a halogen headlight at the front, an LED taillight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a hazard-light function, and a dual-channel ABS. Similar to the Himalayan, the Scram 411, too, should receive the Tripper Navigation screen that connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth and shows turn-by-turn navigation.
Engine
The Scram 411 should share the 411cc, single-cylinder, oil- and air-cooled engine with the Royal Enfield Himalayan. We do not expect to see any difference in the power and torque output. Thus, the motor on the Scram 411, similar to the Himalayan, should deliver 24.3bhp of maximum power and 32Nm of peak torque. The Scram 411 will use a five-speed gearbox, however, we can expect the motorcycle to feature revised gear ratios to suit city riding conditions.
Hardware
The hardware, with the exception of the wheel sizes, will be similar to the Himalayan too. Thus, the suspension tasks would be handled by telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. The anchoring setup will comprise single discs on both wheels while the safety net will include dual-channel ABS.
Expected Launch and Price
We expect the new Royal Enfield Scram 411 to debut in the first quarter of 2022. Expect the motorcycle to retail at a marginally lower price tag than the Himalayan which is available from Rs 2.06 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
