TVS Motor Company has confirmed that it will launch a new product in our market on 6 September, 2023. Notably, while the company has not revealed the name of this product, the emailer link includes the Apache brand tag, which hints at the Apache RR310-based roadster motorcycle, the RTR310. Here, we tell you what to expect from the India-bound Apache RTR310.
What styling cues will the upcoming TVS Apache RTR310 get?
We have already spotted this motorcycle through spy pictures, and several styling details about it are already available. The spy images have revealed the twin-pod design for the taillight along with a rear-tyre hugger-mounted numberplate and turn indicators, and an Apache RR310-style instrument cluster. We expect to see these styling upgrades on the fully faired model as well.
Further, the spy images have revealed the upright ergonomics of the motorcycle that have been achieved through a flat, single-piece handlebar. For reference, the RR310 uses clip-on-style units that deliver a sportier rider’s triangle. Lastly, the spy images also give a glimpse of the instrument cluster, which appears to be noticeably different from the vertically mounted unit on the Apache RR310. We also expect to see this revised on the next-generation Apache RR310.
What would be the specifications of the TVS Apache RTR 310?
Since the Apache RTR310 will be based on the fully faired model, we expect to see identical specifications on the roadster motorcycle. The flagship TVS Motor Company product currently uses a 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes a maximum output of 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm. We expect to see similar output figures on the Apache RTR 310 as well.
What features will the TVS Apache RTR 310 get?
The feature list on the Apache RR310 will be at par with the rivals such as the KTM 390 Duke. Thus, we will see full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display, riding modes, and a dual-channel ABS. Further, since the traction control system is making its way into more sub-500cc products, it will not be surprising to see this safety feature on the upcoming Apache RTR 310 and the next-generation Apache RR310 as well.
What hardware will the TVS Apache RTR 310 use?
Similar to the RR310, the new RTR310 will be built around a trellis frame. Then, the shock absorption tasks will be handled by upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Further, the motorcycle will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels and use disc brakes to perform the anchoring tasks.
What are the expected prices and launch date of the TVS Apache RTR 310?
This new motorcycle will be launched in our market on 6 September, 2023. The bookings should commence soon after the launch. As for the pricing, the Apache RTR 310 will most likely be positioned below its fully faired sibling, which costs about Rs. 2.65 lakh. Thus, the roadster-segment motorcycle could be priced at around Rs. 2.40 lakh and Rs. 2.50 lakh.
