The month of September promises to be action-packed with as many as three lanches lined up. There are two new motorcycle launches and a new scooter as well. Here are the details.
Hero Desitni 125
The new Hero Destini 125 is going to be a new chapter in the company’s long and storied history. The scooter will bear a completely new design, which will be a welcome departure from the plain and simple designs that we’ve seen from the company. There are more crease lines, and more attention to detail and we expect to see more up-to-date features like Bluetooth connectivity. Expect it to be powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 9bhp at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm at 5500rpm. It is paired with a CVT. Expect the new Hero Destini 125 to be launched around the end of this month
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles is going to launch a new Jawa 42 on 3 September. A close look at the teasers reveals a sporty roadster is what they are likely to come up with. Expect it to be powered by the Jawa 350’s engine. This 334cc, single-cylinder engine makes 22.26bhp and 28.1Nm in the Jawa 350. The design of the bike is also expected to be markedly different from the current lineup of Jawa 42s. Expect to see a longer, sleeker fuel tank, a narrow profile for the seat, upswept exhaust and brighter colours.
BMW F 900 GS
The F 900 GS adventure motorcycle will replace the F 850 GS in India and it features a bunch of changes. The design, to begin with, is sharper and sleeker much like the competition that is the Triumph Tiger 900. Bits like the exposed subframe are a nice design touch. it is powered by an 895cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 105bhp at 8500rpm and 93Nm at 6750rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. Expect it to be launched around Rs 13 lakh, ex-showroom.
