May has already started with a big launch in the form of the Pulsar NS400Z. Bajaj created quite some buzz with the new Pulsar’s pricing of Rs. 1. 85 lakh and the overall package that it has to offer.
However, there are a few more two-wheelers that we think could debut this month. Here is a list of all of those.
We have already seen the Hero Xoom 160 a few times and now it could be launched sometime this month. The Xoom 160 looks aspirational and could be the one to put Hero on the maps in terms of the premium scooter market. It looks promising and purposeful.
Hero has equipped the Xoom 160 with a 156cc, single-cylinder unit that is said to develop 14bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.7Nm at 6,500rpm. The Xoom 160 has a tall stance and the muscular design seems stylish.
In terms of features, you can expect the Xoom 160 to come with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It also gets keyless ignition, remote boot access and full LED illumination. Hero is likely to price the Xoom 160 around Rs. 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the launch could happen in the next couple of weeks.
BMW R 1300 GS
BMW had originally planned the R 1300 GS’s debut sometime at the end of last year but it seems like the plan had to be changed. Now, the flagship German ADV is set to be launched at the end of this month.
We already know that the current BMW ADV offering, the R 1250 GS is quite a package. But, the R 1300 seems to take things up a notch in terms of design, hardware, engine and features too.
It has a new headlight, a slimmer profile from up top and a larger 1300cc boxer engine. It makes a 145bhp and 149Nm engine and comes with a six-speed gearbox.
That's not it. In typical BMW fashion, the new GS gets features like multi-level traction control, ABS and ride modes but what’s also new on this BMW is radar-based assistance. This allows Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning and Lane Change Warning. It will also house BMW's standard Telelever and Paralever springs at the front and rear.
The asking price for the upcoming BMW R 1300 GS will likely be around Rs. 23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Yezdi 350 ADV
We recently spotted a Yezdi Adventure on a test run and noticed quite a few changes. The exhaust routing was different and the pipe passed below the engine instead of the rider footpeg. This could be done for better heat dissipation. Moreover, Yezdi is likely to use the new 350cc single-cylinder engine that we have seen on the Jawa 350. This would also translate to better thermal management, power delivery and other refinement.
Yezdi could launch the new Adventure 350 by the end of May or early June 2024.
