Hero MotoCorp will soon update its India portfolio with the launch of the 2023 Xpulse 200 4V. In fact, the latest iteration of the company’s adventure-tourer motorcycle has already started to arrive at dealerships in the country, and here we tell you everything that we know about this upcoming product.
What’s new on the 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V?
The 2023 model will pack several feature upgrades over its predecessor. The LED headlight, for example, will get a revised setup. Notably, Hero MotoCorp already offers this setup on the Xpulse 200 4V in the international markets. Further, the switchgear indicates that the headlight will have three modes of operation. Apart from the revised headlight, the front fascia of the Hero Xpulse 200 4V also packs a taller windscreen that should offer better windblast protection. The revisions also include a new design for the knuckle guards that look sturdier than the units on the outgoing version. The electronics have been revised as well, and the teaser videos from the company’s social media handles have revealed three ride modes – Road, Off-road, and Rally. The finer details about the ride modes are not available yet. Meanwhile, it will retain the Bluetooth-enabled fully-digital instrument cluster with a turn-by-turn navigation system.
Does the 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V get a design update?
The visual changes are limited to the larger windscreen and new design for the knuckle guards. Meanwhile, the 2023 model retains all the styling cues from the outgoing version. Thus, it comes with a round shape for the headlight, identical graphics as the outgoing model, a flat seat, a compact luggage rack, a beak-style front fender, a tall-set exhaust, and wire-spoked wheels. We do not expect to see major changes to the colour palette either, and this upcoming model, similar to the current version, should be available in three colours.
Will the 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V get any mechanical upgrades?
Hero MotoCorp will add the onboard diagnostics system to comply with the newest emission norms. The motorcycle will also receive an E20 fuel compatibility to keep up with the latest standards. Meanwhile, we do not expect the power and torque output numbers to change much. The current model, for reference, draws 18.8bhp and 17.35Nm from its 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine. This motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
What hardware will the 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V use?
The hardware is similar to the current model. Thus, the 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V will retain telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock to handle the suspension duties. The anchoring setup on the 2023 model will comprise single discs on both wheels, while the safety net could now include a dual-channel ABS instead of the single-channel unit on the current model. Lastly, this model will continue featuring 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoked wheels.
How much will the 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V cost?
All the upgrades mentioned above will affect the ex-showroom prices of the Xpulse 200 4V, and we expect this new model to arrive in the Rs. 1.45 lakh and Rs. 1.50 lakh price range. The current Xpulse 200 4V, for reference, is available at Rs. 1.38 lakh.
All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi
