A few days ago, we told you about Piaggio’s plans to introduce new colours for its Vespa range. But that’s not all. The company is planning to launch the updated Aprilia SR150 by December.
The updated SR150 will get adjustable front forks setup that will address the stiff ride that most the buyers have been experiencing. While the company understands that the stiff ride is a part of the scooter’s overall dynamics, it does want to make the rider’s life easy by providing an adjustable setup. The interesting bit here is that this variant isn’t standard and will be offered as an optional variant. However, the adjustable forks will be standard in the Race Edition.
Other than this, there will be no changes. The Italian manufacturer feels that the three paint schemes is good enough for a scooter costing almost Rs 80,000 on-road. The black-red paint scheme has been the highest selling variant. The Race Edition too, has been in good demand in metro cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru.
We’re expecting Piaggio to ask for Rs 3000 to Rs 5000 more for this variant. But we think it is a very good move by the company as it gives more options to buyers who love that scooter, but have been opting for other scooters due to its harsh riding quality.
