- Ather 450X to get substantial update
- Will not get any cosmetic changes
- Would be priced higher than the current version
Ather Energy is all set to launch the updated, Gen 3 version of the 450X in India tomorrow, 19 July. With the introduction of this new version, the Gen 2 will be taken off the shelves.
Now, the new Ather 450X will get some substantial improvements. While the styling and design would be no different than before, we can expect it to get mechanical and hardware changes. According to leaked documents, the new scooter will get a bigger battery pack and come with different riding modes and varying range too. That said, even the performance of the scooter will be tweaked and increased. Other than that, the new Ather 450X could also receive some more changes.
With a longer range and bigger battery on offer, Ather is looking to up its value against its rivals- the OLA S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak, and TVS iQube in the country. But the additional equipment would result in an increase in pricing over the current variant that costs Rs 1.18 lakh, ex-showroom. Well, we wouldn’t have to wait long for official details as the scooter is just around the corner. Stay tuned!
