- Teased on Bajaj’s social media handles
- Likely to be introduced with new paint schemes
- Could also get a new front and rear disc brake-equipped model
Bajaj Auto seems to be gearing up for the launch of an updated Pulsar N150 as it has just posted a teaser for the same. The Chakan-based bikemaker has teased the bike on its social media handles and here is what we think it could be.
The upcoming Pulsar N150 could be in for a few paint schemes. Currently, the brand offers the Pulsar N150 in two colours – Ebony Black and Metallic Pearl White. So, the palette could be now extended by offering a few more colours. Apart from that, Bajaj could also launch a new variant with a disc brake at the rear for added safety since the current model only comes with a front disc setup. This means the Pulsar N150 could also get dual-channel ABS. This would enhance the overall safety quotient of the bike.
Apart from that, we think the design will remain unchanged and so will be the engine, hardware, and features list. The Pulsar N150 is powered by a 149.6cc single-cylinder motor. It makes 14.5bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.5Nm at 6,000rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the features list includes a semi-digital instrument console with readouts like the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level indicator, and clock. Its safety net comprises single-channel ABS and a side-stand cut-off sensor.
The hardware on the Pulsar N150 comprises telescopic front forks and a monoshock whereas the brakes include a front disc with rear drum setup. These are mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Currently, the asking price for the Pulsar N150 is Rs. 1,17,677 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It rivals the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer, and the Hero Xtreme 160R.
