- Seen with a USD fork
- To get an E20-compliant engine
- Expect a small rise in price.
Bajaj has been busy testing updates to the Pulsar range of bikes and spy images of the N160 test mule have surfaced on the internet. These images clearly show that among the updates to the Pulsar N160 is a new USD fork setup. The introduction of a USD fork should improve the handling of the N160 but we hope this won’t come at the expense of the absorbent ride quality that the current N160 offers. A road test will help us ascertain this.
Barring this update to the suspension, there don’t seem to be any other changes to the hardware of the bike. We can see the same wheels, frame, brakes, etc. that are present on the current bike.
In terms of the engine, there should updates to make it E20-compatible. For reference, the current Bajaj Pulsar N160’s engine makes 15.68bhp at 8750rpm and 14.65Nm at 6750rpm.
Going by the images of the test bike, there seem to be no updates to the feature list but it’ll be interesting to see if Bajaj throws in a colour TFT display from the Chetak electric scooter’s parts bin to up the features game of the Pulsar N160.We don’t expect to see any changes to the design, however, the Pulsar N160 might be available with a choice of new colours for 2024.
The updated Bajaj Pulsar N160 is expected to go on sale soon and may be dearer than the current version by Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000, depending on the features it’ll get. It will go up against the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, another bike that’s pretty well-equipped and a great motorcycle considering the performance, ride, and handling it offers.
