We have just spotted the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N250 on a test run on the outskirts of Maharashtra. Although camouflaged, this test bike reveals quite some new details.
For starters, we can confirm that Bajaj would equip it with USD front forks instead of conventional telescopic units, along with a rear monoshock. Then, the features list will also be updated as the Pulsar N250 will get a new fully digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity. This will allow you to pair your phone and get access to navigation, call and SMS alerts, and more.
Apart from that, the design appears to remain unchanged. The upcoming N250 will continue to look just as sporty and youthful while maintaining its commuter styling. The centre set LED projector headlight flanked by LED DRLs will be carried over with the overall bodywork.
Even the engine for the next iteration of the N250 could remain unchanged. For reference, it is a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that belts out 24.1bhp and 21.5Nm of peak torque. This mill will be linked to a five-speed gearbox and gets a slip-and-assist clutch. The braking hardware includes a front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS.
Since the Bajaj Pulsar N250 will get both, hardware and feature updates, we expect it to cost slightly more. The outgoing model is priced at Rs. 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), so the updated one is likely to demand a premium of about Rs. 10,000. Once launched, it will rival the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
