- Likely to get a fully digital instrument console
- Design, hardware, and engine to remain unchanged
- Could cost slightly more than before
Bajaj Auto has released a new teaser for its upcoming Pulsar model. We think it could be the updated NS200 and the model could come with a new digital instrument console. Bajaj recently launched the Pulsar N150 and N160 with a new cluster that supports smartphone connectivity. So, it makes sense for the brand to update its bigger offerings, which now seems to be the NS200.
For reference, the N-twins get an instrument console that packs the speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, gear position indicator, SMS and call notifications, and battery levels as well.
The teaser has revealed the side profile of the NS200 and it appears that the design remains unchanged. So, the updated Pulsar NS200 could get the same muscular tank, split seat, and youthful styling. That said, the NS has carried the same design for years now and could help with a refresh.
We expect Bajaj to use the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that delivers 24.1bhp at 9,750rpm and 18.74Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. This engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The bike’s hardware is likely to comprise USD front forks and a monoshock, while the brakes will include a front and rear disc with ABS. These will be linked to 17-inch wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres.
Currently, Bajaj has priced the NS200 at Rs. 1,49,363 (ex-showroom, Delhi). But with the new updates, it could cost a few thousand rupees more.
