- Likely to get a few cosmetic tweaks
- Could get revisions to the engine internals as well
- Will carry over a majority of its design and hardware
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has teased an updated Perak which will launch today. The brand has posted a teaser video and it reveals a few updates which we expect on the 2024 Jawa Perak.
The list of changes that we have spotted in the teaser video includes a new quilted seat cover, a refreshed instrument console, a new fuel tank lid, and new badging on the tank that reads ‘Perak’ instead of ‘Jawa’. Apart from that, Jawa could also introduce mechanical changes including a revised motor borrowed from the recently launched 350. So, we expect better refinement levels from the updated Perak.
For reference, the new Jawa 350 is powered by a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that makes 22bhp and 28.2Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Moreover, when the Pune-based bikemaker introduced the 42 Bobber, it had notable differences compared to the Perak in terms of ergonomics. The prior is slightly more upright and we expect the same from the Perak as well.
Apart from that, the signature slash-cut exhaust, telescopic front forks, monoshock and single brake discs at both ends too are likely to remain unaltered. These will be mounted on the 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels.
Jawa currently retails the Perak at Rs. 2,13,187 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the aforementioned updates, the 2024 model could cost slightly more.
