Updated Royal Enfield Meteor 350: Variants Explained

Royal Enfield recently launched the Meteor 350 in a new variant called Aurora and brought a handful of revisions for the 350cc cruiser in the cosmetic and mechanical departments. Let’s take a look at all the variants of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 currently on sale.

Fireball

The Fireball is the most affordable variant of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and is available in four paint schemes – red, matte green, black, and blue. In this trim, the Meteor rides on alloy wheels, gets a halogen headlight, and comes sans any accessories, unlike other variants. Its motor and entire exhaust setup are painted black and make for a likeable contrasting effect with the primary colour(s). Its asking price is Rs. 2,05,900 (ex-showroom, Chennai).

Stellar

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Stellar model sits above the Fireball trim. It is equipped with a pillion backrest and comes with a bunch of chrome parts like the mirrors, exhaust, and the badging on the tank. It, too, rides on alloy wheels. Royal Enfield offers the Meteor 350 Stellar in three colours – red, black, and blue. It retails at Rs. 2,15,900 (ex-showroom, Chennai).

Aurora

Then, we have the recently launched variant, the Meteor 350 Aurora. It features an LED headlight with a transparent visor above and a pillion backrest and is the only trim to get spoke wheels. The Aurora model gets parts finished in chrome – exhaust, mirrors, fuel tank badges, and the engine casing. It is offered in three colours – blue, black, and green. The blue and green options are dual-tone schemes with a secondary colour on the fuel tank and the side panel (the latter is only for the green paint). The Meteor 350 Aurora will cost you Rs. 2,19,900 (ex-showroom, Chennai).

Supernova

The Supernova is the most expensive variant of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. It costs Rs. 2,29,900 (ex-showroom, Chennai) and is offered in two options – blue and red. Both get an undertone of black paint on the base of the fuel tank and the side panels. The Meteor 350 Supernova comes with a transparent visor, pillion backrest, and alloy wheels. This trim only gets chrome on the exhaust and the mirrors. Its engine casing comes painted black.

All four trims get the same design, suspension, brakes, and engine configuration. The bike derives its power from a 349cc single-cylinder J-series motor that makes 20.2bhp and 27Nm. It’s linked to a five-speed gearbox. The suspension consists of telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks, whereas the brakes include a single front and rear disc with ABS.
