- Facelift model spotted testing
- Likely to receive a refreshed design
- Could use the same 125cc engine
It seems that Suzuki India is preparing to bring an updated version of the Access 125 scooter. Its test mule was spotted recently and has revealed a handful of things that could be new for the 2024 Access 125.
The most evident change is likely to be on the design front. The test scooter, although covered in black with deceptive aesthetic elements, seems to get a slightly refreshed bodywork. The pillion footpeg slot, exhaust heat shield, and headlight cowl appear sharper compared to the current model. Then, the rear mud-guard too is longer. The ignition and key-hole could be redesigned and it looks like the new Access could get additional storage on the right side.
The current Suzuki Access 125 is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder engine that makes 8.6 bhp and a torque of 10 Nm. It accelerates smoothly, has the right amount of grunt to commute in the city, and offers a decent top speed for the highway too. So, it is unlikely for the Hayabusa-maker to change the motor for the upcoming Access 125.
If you opt for the Ride Connect edition, the Access 125 comes with a fully digital screen and smartphone connectivity. However, a new instrument cluster would be a welcome change, so we expect that on the 2024 Access 125. Apart from that, the telescopic front forks and monoshock along with the front disc and rear drum too will be carried over. The updated Suzuki Access 125 will retain the external fuel tank lid as well.
We expect new graphics and a few fresh paint schemes from Suzuki for the 2024 Access 125. It could cost a few thousand rupees more than the current model and could be launched during the festive season.
