TVS Motor Company has launched the updated Scooty Pep+ at Rs 42,153 (ex-showroom Mumbai). The company has not just updated the scooter cosmetically, but mechanically too.
Targeted at female consumers, the Scooty Pep+ has been on sale since the last four years now. And now with an updated model, the Scooty Pep+ might see an increase in sales over the next couple of months.
TVS has equipped the scooter with a new 87.8cc air-cooled Ecothrust engine that produces 4.93bhp at 6500rpm and peak torque of 5.8Nm at 4000rpm. The company has equipped this engine with two riding modes – economy and power. Depending on how the rider uses the throttle, these modes will change.
In terms of features, this new Scooty Pep+ gets a mobile charging port, side stand alarm and underseat storage hooks. Also, the scooter is being offered in a range of 11 attractive colours, making the Scooty Pep+ the scooter with the highest number of colour options in India.
