Vespa has launched a special edition scooter to mark the 70th anniversary of the brand. Called Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition, the new scooter is priced at Rs 96,500, ex-showroom, Pune.
The Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition is based on the 150cc Vespa VXL. And costs Rs 10,840 more than the latter. The Anniversary Edition features several new accessories and a badge to set it apart from the standard scooter. It comes in a bright Azzurro 70 paint hue, exclusive to this scooter; brown leather seats with white stitching; and embossed 70th Anniversary logo. Accessories like fly screen, chrome rear carrier, chrome perimeter guard and grey alloy wheels are offered as standard on the new scooter.
Furthermore, the 70th Anniversary Edition will be produced in limited numbers, but Vespa hasn’t commented on the exact number yet. Pan-India deliveries for the new scooter will commence over the next week. The Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition would've been the most expensive Vespa scooter on sale in India, had it not been for the arrival of the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani. Also launched today, the 946 is priced Rs 12.04 lakh, ex-showroom in Pune.
