- 75th anniversary edition revealed
- Gets lots of aesthetic additions
Piaggio has just showcased the 75th anniversary edition of its Vespa scooter range. The company is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year and wanted to celebrate it.
This special edition variants are available on the Vespa GTS and the Vespa Primavera. It is available in both – 125cc and 300cc variants. The company has named these series the 75th. These scooters receive a special yellow metallic bodywork and the side panels and mudguard sports 75 number. The other major cosmetic addition is the presence of a large circular leather bag mounted on the tail of the scooter.
The Italian brand has also give this special variant grey wheels with diamond finish. The seat gets some leather treatment. Just like the standard editions, the 75th also gets lots of chrome around rear view mirrors, instrument cluster, luggage rack and also on the exhaust.
In order to make this scooter experience special, the company will be giving a welcome kit, incorporating an Italian silk scarf, a vintage steel Vespa plate, personalised owners book and eight collector postcards depicting the eight decades of Vespa history.
We are expecting the 75th anniversary edition to come to India later this year and when it does, we can expect it to sell in decent numbers as it looks pretty good.
