Piaggio India has announced the launch of the Vespa 75th Edition in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 1,25,996 onwards. The new model celebrates the brand’s 75th anniversary and here we tell you the top five highlights of this Vespa scooter.
Design and Styling
The new Vespa 75th Edition is based on the VXL series. Thus, the design comprises a round headlight at the front, curvy body panels, and several chrome elements. While the design is similar to the standard VXL range, the Vespa 75th Edition gets a new paint theme and decals. This special edition scooter comes with a glossy metallic Giallo paint scheme along with soft Nobuk leather feel dark smoke grey seats. The styling elements also include a flyscreen at the front, a circular bag installed on the retractable rack at the rear, and number ‘75’ on the apron, front fender, and under-seat panels.
Engine
Similar to the design, the mechanical specifications, too, are identical to the standard VXL series. Thus, the 125cc variant of the Vespa 75th Edition produces 9.78bhp of maximum power and 9.60Nm of peak torque. The 150cc version, on the other hand, makes 10.32bhp of power and 10.60Nm of peak torque.
Features
The feature list on the Vespa 75th Edition includes a full-LED headlamp, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and a conventional tail lamp at the back. The safety net on the 150cc model includes a single-channel ABS while the 125cc variant benefits from a combined braking system.
Hardware
The hardware, too, remains identical to the standard VXL series. Thus, the suspension tasks are handled by a single side arm front suspension and dual-effect hydraulic shock absorber at the back. The braking setup includes a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the back.
