Piaggio India has taken the definition of premium to a whole new level. The company has launched the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani for the Indian market at Rs 12.05 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).
This makes the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani the most expensive scooter on sale in India. Previously, the Aprilia SRV 850 ABS used to hold this tag at Rs 14.18 lakh but is not on sale anymore. This exclusive scooter was developed to celebrate Piaggio’s 130th birthday and Giorgio Armani’s 40th anniversary. The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani gets a special combination of grey with subtle hints of green that can be seen under particular light conditions. This scooter is a modern interpretation of the original Vespa design language. It gets a 3D 'Emporio Armani' logo on the side and an eagle logo above the headlight.
Powering this Vespa is a 125cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 11.39bhp at 8750rpm and peak torque of 9.6Nm at 7750rpm. The Italian manufacturer has equipped the scooter with some features like anti-lock braking system (ABS), anti-slip regulator (ASR) traction control and LED lights. The braking department is handled by 220mm disc at the front and rear.
The bookings for the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani have already begun at all Motoplex and Vespa showrooms. This scooter will be sold as a completely-built-up (CBU) unit.
