- BS4 Vespa scooters available with cash discount of Rs 15,000
- Offer applicable on pre-registered BS4 scooters
Piaggio has officially rolled out an attractive offer on the BS4 Vespa models in India. The company is offering a cash discount of Rs 15,000 on all the BS4 Vespa models left unsold with the dealers. However, there’s a catch. These scooters will be pre-registered vehicles which means the buyer will be its second owner on paper.
The company’s decision to sell pre-registered scooters comes in the wake of Supreme Court’s BS6 deadline extension which allows only 10 per cent of the BS4 inventory to be sold within 10 days after the lockdown lifts. Piaggio certainly has plenty of unsold BS4 Vespa scooters with the dealers across India which is why it has resorted to selling them pre-registered for clearing out the stocks.
Piaggio is touting this offer as a total benefit of Rs 35,000 considering that the BS6 Vespa models are around Rs 20,000 more expensive than their BS4 counterparts. Apart from the Rs 15,000 cash discount, the buyers will also get a five year warranty, exchange benefits, free on-road assistance and attractive finance schemes on the pre-registered BS4 Vespa scooters.
In other news, Piaggio has recently rebranded its entire 150cc Vespa line-up by replacing the ‘150’ suffix by ‘149’ for the BS6 models. The new Vespa SXL 149 and VXL 149 have also witnessed a marginal drop in their displacement from 150cc to 149cc which has also resulted in a slight drop in their power output.
