Piaggio India launched the Vespa Racing Sixties scooters in India recently. Here we list out everything you need to know about the newest scooters from Vespa.
Available in two variants
The Vespa Racing Sixties series is offered in two engine options. There is the SXL 125 and SXL 150.
Styling
As its name suggests, the Racing Sixties edition features a special livery inspired by the brand’s racing scooters from the ‘60s. The scooters get a white paint as a base with red racing stripes running across the front fender, apron, headlamp cowl as well as the rear panel. Further complementing its retro appeal is the gold-finished alloy wheels.
Engine
The Vespa Racing Sixties 125 is powered by a 124cc, three-valve engine that is air-cooled and fuel-injected. It produces 9.7bhp and 9.6Nm. On the other hand, the Racing Sixties 150 uses a 149cc motor that churns out 10.2bhp and 10.6Nm.
Cycle Parts
The scooter ride on 11-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels. Its suspension hardware consists of a single-sided, link-type setup at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is handled by a disc at the front and a drum at the rear.
Pricing
Piaggio has priced the Racing Sixties 125 at Rs 1.20 lakh and the Racing Sixties 150 version at Rs 1.32 lakh. (both prices, ex-showroom).
