Piaggio India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the Vespa Racing Sixties. The new product is based on the SXL series, and it is available in two displacement options – 1245cc and 150cc. The Vespa Racing Sixties 125 is priced at Rs 1.20 lakh while the Racing Sixties 150 is available at Rs 1.32 lakh. Here we list the alternatives that buyers can consider in a similar price range.
Honda Hornet 2.0 (Rs 1.28 lakh)
Honda’s newly launched naked roadster, the Hornet 2.0 retails at Rs 1.28 lakh. The motorcycle is loaded with premium hardware such as full-LED lighting, digital instrument cluster and upside-down front forks. The Hornet 2.0 is available in four colours – Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. The vehicle is powered by a 184.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor that makes 17bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.
Suzuki Gixxer SF (Rs 1.27 lakh)
The Gixxer SF is the sporty offering from the Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler brand. The motorcycle features a full-fairing design, digital instrument cluster, clip-on style handlebars and split seats. It is available in three colours – Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Sonic Silver and Metallic Triton Blue (MotoGP Edition). The Gixxer SF uses a 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 13.4bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.8Nm at 6,000rpm.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V (Rs 1.25 lakh)
TVS Motor Company’s 200cc offering, the Apache RTR 200 4V is available at Rs 1.25 lakh. The motorcycle is packed with features like LED headlight, Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, GTT (glide through traffic) system and split-style seats. The motorcycle is available in two colours – Gloss Black and Pearl White. Powering the Apache RTR 200 4V is a 197.75cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor that makes 19.9bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.8Nm at 7,500rpm.
Suzuki Gixxer is a 155cc naked roadster from the two-wheeler brand. It shares its underpinnings and engine with the Gixxer SF. The naked roadster, however, features upright ergonomics that deliver a comfortable riding position. The 155cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine on the Gixxer churns out 13.4bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.8Nm at 6,000rpm. The feature list on the motorcycle comprises of LED headlight and a digital instrument cluster.
