Piaggio has launched the Vespa RED scooter in India at Rs 87,009 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The scooter is based on the VXL 125 and features an all-red theme.
It features the RED badging in various places on its steel-moncoque body.
Underneath the RED theme, it uses a 125cc air-cooled engine that produces 9.90bhp and 10.60Nm of torque.
The Vespa RED is a collaboration between Piaggio and a charitable organisation called RED.
This Vespa RED is made exclusively for India and deliveries will commence next month.
The scooter will not have any competition in the Indian market although it is priced close to the SXL 125 and VXL 150.
