Vespa recently unveiled three new special edition families for 2019 at the 2018 Amerivespa Rally in Richmond, Virginia, USA. These include the Primavera 50th Anniversary, Vespa Yacht Club and Vespa Notte.
The Primavera was first introduced back in 1968 and the 50th Anniversary model celebrates the occasion. It gets 12-inch wheels, the largest ever on a Vespa model, with a new five-spoke design. Vespa also unveiled the Primavera S with a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT instrument display, again a first for the Italian manufacturer. The 50th Anniversary model will be available in 50cc and 150cc version whereas the Primavera S will be available in a 150cc variant.
The Vespa Yacht Club edition is available in the Primavera 50cc and 150cc versions and the GTS 300cc version. The scooters get a white and navy blue colour scheme. The navy blue details are also featured on the rubber floorboard as well as the seat which gets white stitching to go with the theme.
The Vespa Notte series is available in the Vespa Sprint (50cc and 150cc variants) and the Vespa GTS 300 Super models. The scooters sport an all-black theme, with the chassis, mirrors, rims finished in matte-black save the ‘Vespa’ logo on the front apron and model name on the rear fairing which are chrome.
The special edition scooters will go on sale in July and will first be available in US and CanadaIt is highly unlikely for Vespa to launch the Primavera 50th Anniversary and Vespa Yacht Club in India anytime soon. Nevertheless, the manufacturer had showcased a Vespa Notte model at the 2018 Auto Expo based on the VXL 125 which is sold here. We can expect this version to be launched sometime this year in the country.
