Vespa will launch the VX variant of its LX125 scooter at a function in Delhi tomorrow. We had already revealed on June 21 that the premium scooter will cost Rs 65, 596 (ex-showroom Mumbai) and that it will get two additional features; a 200mm front disc brake and a beige seat.
The VX will also be offered in two new colours turquoise green and pink. The instrument cluster has also been updated to give a fresh look and at the same time the grab rail for the pillion is longer as compared to the LX 125 variant.
The VX will be powered by the same 125cc engine that powers the LX 125 variant. It produces 10.06bhp and 10.6Nm of torque. The mill is mated to a CVT gearbox. We spoke to a North Mumbai dealer, the bookings have been started and the deliveries should begin shortly. At this price, the VX has claimed ‘the most expensive scooter in India’ tag from its older sibling.
