Piaggio India has updated the prices of Vespa and Aprilia scooters in our market. This price hike affects the company’s 125cc, retro-style scooter, the Vespa ZX 125 in India. This scooter, which is available in a single variant and seven colour options in the Indian market, is now available at Rs 1,15,409 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Do note that this price increase does not bring any cosmetic or mechanical changes to the Vespa ZX 125. Thus, this retro-style scooter continues to be available in seven colours – Azzuro Provenza, Matte Black, Maze Grey, Pearl White, Pink, Red Dragon, and Yellow. The styling cues remain unchanged with a round headlight, curvy body panels, a flat seat, side-slung exhaust, and several chrome embellishments.
The mechanical specifications retain the BS6-compliant, 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor. Linked to a CVT gearbox, the engine is tuned to deliver 9.78bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.60Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The scooter uses a single-sided front suspension, twin rear springs, a disc brake at the front, a drum unit at the back, and 10-inch alloy wheels on both ends.
The Vespa ZX 125 rivals the likes of the Suzuki Access 125 in the Indian market.
