Benelli has just unveiled its new 500cc motorcycles – the TRK 502 and the Leoncino at the ongoing EICMA show in Italy. And the company isn’t just stopping there. The Italian manufacturer is developing a new 750cc engine that will power its future bikes.
This new 750cc engine is being developed at Benelli’s Italy R&D centre. As a part of Benelli’s strategy, it will be focusing only on motorcycles between 125cc and 750cc for the next couple of years. This new 750cc engine is part of the same strategy.
The new 750cc will power a new range of Benelli bikes including an adventure, naked, supersport and a scrambler. Just like the new 500cc, the new 750cc engine will also sport a parallel-twin configuration. However, it’s too early to know the exact power figures. The company plans to unveil this new 750cc range of bikes at the 2016 EICMA, if everything goes as planned.
Just like the TRK 502 and the Leoncino, this new 750cc motorcycle will also be launched in India. However, the Italian manufacturer would want to monitor the sales of the new 2015 models once they are launched in India in the next financial year.
