Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant has recently unveiled their new electric bike. The Himo C20 e-bike is a pedal assisted bike that has been priced at $375 (Rs 26,000).
The Himo C20 e-bike is a compact bike designed for everyday city use. It is powered by a 36V 10Ah lithium-ion battery that holds 360Wh of charge. This battery gives out a total riding range of 80kms with pedal-assist. It sports a 250 Watt DC hub mounted motor that helps the e-bike reach speed of upto 40kmph. The company claims a charging time of 6 hours which is quite a lot for a battery this size.
In terms of overall styling, the Himo C20 looks pretty cool with its white and black combination. The bike is equipped with LED headlamp and taillight, along with an LED display that shows various ride data like speed, charge left, distance and pedal assist levels. This Xiaomi rides on 20-inch wheels and high profile tyres. The aluminium frame weighs 21kgs and the brakes are mechanical in nature.
Currently, the Himo C20 is available only in China, but the company’s Indian arm is known to bring products into the country to gauge the market. We believe the company would also launch this e-bike in India in the next few years, as the brand is well known.
