Yamaha India recently launched the 2023 Aerox 155 in India. The sporty maxi-scooter received a couple of tweaks for the latest trim, including its features and mechanicals. Here’s all that you should know about the Yamaha Aerox 155.
What are the specifications and fuel economy of the Yamaha Aerox 155?
The Yamaha Aerox 155 is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation). It’s the same engine as the R15 and dishes out 14.8bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 13.9Nm at 6,500rpm. For 2023, Yamaha updated the Aerox with the OBD2 compliance, so, it now gets an onboard diagnostics sensor to monitor real-time emissions. We tested the scooter last year and it returned a mileage of 46kmpl. That gives it an approximate range of 253km considering the scooter has a 5.5-litre fuel tank. This is a decent figure considering the Aerox’s performance and sporty demeanour.
What are the colour options available for the Yamaha Aerox 155?
Yamaha offers the Aerox 155 in four colours – Metallic Black, Grey Vermillion, Silver, and Racing Blue. The Silver paint scheme is the latest addition to the Aerox’s colour palette. It’s a combination of silver, black and golden colours, and the overall theme accentuates the scooter’s youthfulness.
What are the variants, prices, and rivals of the Yamaha Aerox 155?
Yamaha sells the Aerox 155 in a single variant. It’s priced at Rs. 1,42,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi). There are no direct rivals to the Aerox but the Aprilia SXR 160 is your closest option in this segment.
