- Yamaha Aerox 155 MotoGP edition out of stock
- Won’t be re-launched
- Other three paint schemes continue to retail
The MotoGP edition of the Yamaha Aerox 155 has been sold out in India. And since it was a limited edition model, Yamaha won’t be bringing that particular colour variant back to the shelves.
The MotoGP edition Aerox 155 sported Yamaha’s Monster Energy graphics which we see on the brand’s MotoGP race machines. On the mechanical front, it was identical to the other three paint schemes which continue to retail. The existing colour options for the Aerox 155 include metallic black, racing blue, and grey vermillion which are priced at Rs 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Yamaha had brought a big surprise in the form of the Aerox 155 in September last year. It created a lot of buzz in the market, mainly for its pit scooter-like design and the R15-derived engine. With a centre spine, it misses out on the convenience of a footboard but makes up for that with a large 24.5-litre under-seat storage compartment.
The Aerox is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that incorporates variable valve actuation (VVA) technology and produces 14.79bhp and 13.9Nm. Moreover, it rides on large 14-inch alloy wheels which bestow it with top-class stability and sporty handling dynamics. Other noteworthy features in the scooter include a full-LED headlamp and tail lamp, smart motor-generator for silent starts, ABS, a side-stand cut-off system, and a Bluetooth-enabled LCD.
