- Yamaha Aerox 155 prices increased by Rs 1,000
- Retails for Rs 1,32,000 now
- Remains the same in all other areas
Yamaha Motor India has revised the prices of its select models in India this month, which includes the new Aerox 155 as well. The maxi sport-scooter is now Rs 1,000 more expensive and retails for Rs 1,32,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The price hike certainly won’t have any effect on its desirability since the Aerox 155 is a distinctive and niche product. With its pit scooter-like design, it truly stands out in the huge crowd of conventional scooters in India. It looks pretty racy and fast even while standing still, thanks to the angular and sleek body panels. It’s equally impressive in terms of technology with a full-LED headlamp and tail lamp, smart motor-generator for silent starts, ABS, a side-stand cut-off system, and a Bluetooth-enabled LCD.
A major highlight of the Aerox 155 is its engine that’s derived from the YZF R15 V4. This 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine incorporates variable valve actuation and produces 14.79bhp and 13.9Nm. Those numbers make it one of the most powerful scooters on sale in India. The handling and stability of the Aerox are also close to motorcycles courtesy of large 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends and a taut underbone chassis.
The Yamaha Aerox 155 is available in four colour options including blue, grey, black, and MotoGP edition. It competes against the Aprilia SR 160 and the SXR 160.
