Yamaha Indonesia has launched the Aerox LC125 at the Sentul Circuit in West Java. This sporty looking scooter will be priced at RP 18,200,000 (Rs 88,302).
While this scooter has been caught testing on Indonesian roads for quite some time now, it was first introduced internationally in 1997 and has seen a few updates since then. The Aerox is also sold in Europe in a few variants. For Indonesia though, a four-stroke 125cc liquid cooled engine does duty in the Aerox, and this motor produces 11.2bhp at 9,000rpm. Yamaha Indonesia launched this scooter with the tagline "Life is a race" at its world debut in Indonesia.
“Aerox LC125 will be the second new product from Yamaha Indonesia in 2016 and comes just after last week’s launch of the Fino 125. We are proud and confident to have introduced the Aerox with a 125cc engine. This two-wheeler is suitable for those male consumers who need an automatic scooter but still want their ride to remain stylish and sporty. We are optimistic that the Aerox LC125 will be received positively in the Indonesian market, "said Mohammad Masykur, Assistant GM Marketing Yamaha Indonesia.
Yamaha’s Aerox LC125 will be available in three colours; racing blue, champion matt grey and white light speed. Yamaha is optimistic and hopes to target a sales figure of 120,000 units per annum.
