- Tenere 700 extreme version in the works
- Likely to get upgraded suspension, bigger fuel tank
- Won’t come to India anytime soon
Yamaha’s new middleweight adventure motorcycle, the Tenere 700 is likely to get an extreme version.
This development was revealed by Takushiro Shiraishi, the project leader of Tenere 700. The top honchos of the company believe that there’s a market for a hardcore version of the Tenere 700. For now, the company is keen on tracking the performance of the Tenere 700. If the brand is successful and there are many requests for motorcycles of this kind, the company would definitely bring it to the market.
This upcoming motorcycle is likely to get a bigger fuel tank and the suspension would be upgraded too as has been the case for most brands. The Tenere 700 doesn’t get a traction control system. So there’s some chance of this safety feature making its way to the extreme version. Unfortunately, Yamaha India isn’t focusing on the adventure bike segment in the country. But a bike like the Tenere 700 might see the light of the day in India.
