Yamaha Motor India has launched its Cygnus Ray ZR scooter in Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP livery. The limited edition scooter has been priced at Rs 59,028 which is a premium of Rs 1500 over the standard disc variant. Along with the launch of Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP edition, the company also introduced similar editions for the YZF R-15 Version 3.0 and the FZ 25. The company is also offering a complementary Moto GP-themed t-shirt with every purchase.
The addition of new livery is a part of Yamaha’s 2019 brand campaign, ‘The Call of the Blue 2.0’ which was introduced in 2018. The scooter features a black base colour shade that is accompanied by blue highlights and decals borrowed from the Moto GP factory racing bike. There is the Monster logo on either side of the front fender while the rear fender features ENEOS, Yamalube and Monster Energy branding.
Besides that, the scooter remains the same. It continues to sport a sculpted design with edgy contours. It also has flared front fenders that add to the scooter's styling while also providing added protection from mud splashes. The Cygnus Ray ZR comes with cubby pockets behind the front apron to store small items and a 21-litre under seat storage that can accommodate a full-face helmet.
The Cygnus Ray ZR is powered by a 113cc single-cylinder air-cooled mill that churns out 7.1bhp and 8.1Nm. The scooter is suspended by telescopic forks up front and monoshock for the rear. Braking is done by disc-drum setup, standard variant also available all-drum setup.
Besides the Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP livery, the Cygnus Ray ZR is offered in five other colour shades including Armada Blue, Matt Green, Maverick Blue, Rooster Red and Darknight. Expect Yamaha to commence deliveries of the limited edition Cygnus Ray ZR in the next couple of weeks.
