- Yamaha dealerships and service centres reopen in select cities
- Customers need to book an appointment with the dealer before visiting
Yamaha Motor India has started to reopen its dealerships and service centres in select cities in the country. The move comes in after the government easing lockdown restrictions in orange and green zones since 4 May 2020. This has led to several other major manufacturers such as Bajaj, Honda and Jawa resuming their retail operations in select areas.
If you are planning to visit the nearest Yamaha store either for purchasing a new product or getting your two-wheeler serviced, do note that the brand is urging to book an appointment with the dealer beforehand. This will prevent the dealerships from crowding and will be in adherence to the social distancing protocols. The showrooms are also taking other safety and health measures such as sanitisation and thermal examination of the visitors.
Owing to the nationwide lockdown, the last month witnessed zero sales of two-wheelers in India which was an unprecedented occurrence. However, with Yamaha and other bike makers reopening their stores, the retail and financial scenario of the market is likely to improve. And with things coming back to normalcy, Yamaha might launch the new FZ-25 BS6 in India soon.
