Yamaha Motor India has increased the prices of its new 125cc scooter, the Fascino 125 FI. In what comes across as the first price hike since its launch in December 2019, all the variants of the Fascino 125 now demand a premium of Rs 800 over their introductory prices. The revised prices of the scooter based on the variant have been mentioned below:
Drum brake (standard) - Rs 67,230

(All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi)
The new Yamaha Fascino 125 is the successor to its 110cc version which has been discontinued. The Japanese bike maker has made the scooter better in almost every aspect now. Firstly, the styling which was already very curvy has now become more graceful with swooping lines from the front apron to the rear end. While the standard colour options get chrome garnishing on the mirrors, apron and underseat panel, the deluxe trims feature a blacked-out finishing.
As Yamaha touts the design of the Fascino as ‘Classic’, it maintains the same theme on the feature front as well. The illumination is provided by conventional bulbs while the instrumentation comprises of analogue clocks. Other features include a 21 litre under seat storage space and a side stand engine cut-off switch.
Powering the new Fascino is a 125cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor which produces 8bhp and 9.7Nm. The scooter rides on a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel which are suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking is handled by a drum brakes at both ends while a front disc is available as an option. This setup is assisted by combined braking system.
Yamaha entered into the flourishing 125cc scooter space with the new Fascino 125 which was later followed by the sportier Ray ZR 125 and the Street Rally 125. These scooters face a stiff competition from the likes of the Hero Maestro Edge 125, Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Ntorq 125.
