We recently told you about the Yamaha FZ FI and the FZ S FI receiving a price hike and you can read about it here. Simultaneously, the Japanese bike maker has also increased the prices of its 125cc scooters including the Fascino 125 and the Ray ZR 125. Following the price revision, both scooters have become Rs 800 more expensive than before. The latest variant-wise prices of the Fascino 125 and Ray ZR 125 are as follows:
Fascino 125 (standard drum): Rs 69,530
Fascino 125 (standard disc): Rs 72,030
Fascino 125 (deluxe drum): Rs 70,530
Fascino 125 (deluxe disc): Rs 73,060
Ray ZR 125 (drum): Rs 70,330
Ray ZR 125 (disc): Rs 73,330
Ray ZR 125 (Street Rally): Rs 74,330
(All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Yamaha Fascino 125, with its extremely curvaceous body panels, is aimed at women riders. Meanwhile, the Ray ZR 125 is for those who want a sporty and rugged appeal from their scooter. The latter can also be had in a fancier Street Rally version which gets additional styling elements such as knuckle guards and edgy decals. It also gets block pattern tyres which help it further stand out.
Powering these Yamaha scooters is a common 125cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which churns out 8.04bhp at 6,500rpm and 9.7Nm at 5,000rpm. While these power figures are at par with most other offerings in this segment, what helps these scooters truly stand out is their low kerb weight which stands at an impressive 99kg.
